The Polisher Research Institute routinely works with the Abramson Senior Care in developing innovative programs. The Center’s Palliative Care Program and Multimedia Biography Program are two examples of recent successes. Manuals designed to facilitate exportability of these programs are currently in the development stages.

In recent years, support for the development of research applications has been provided by the National Institute on Aging, the National Institute on Mental Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and from a number of private foundations including the Alzheimer's Association, the Extendicare Foundation, the Fan Fox and Leslie Samuels Foundation, the Harry Stern Family Foundation, the Lawrence and Anne J. Rubenstein Charitable Foundation, and the National Brith Sholom Women's Nursing Home Fund.
