Two of Abramson Senior Care’s services recently received “Best” designations from U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek.
Abramson Senior Care’s short-term rehabilitation locations, Birnhak Transitional Care at Lankenau Medical Center and Birnhak Transitional Care at Horsham, have both been named “Best Short-Term Rehab” by U.S. News and World Report.
To determine the short-term rehabilitation rankings, U.S. News and World Report looks at the care provided to patients staying at a facility for less than 100 days and analyzes a number of quality measures, including staffing, outcomes, resident complaints, and processes of care. Nationally, 13,683 facilities received one of three Short-Term Ratings, with 2,250 of those homes earning a High-Performing Rating.
Birnhak Transitional Care has long been a leader in the short-term rehabilitation care industry. The program’s best in class protocols that optimize patient care, quality outcomes, and innovative practices have consistently put the program in the top percentage of national short-term rehabilitation outcomes.
Additionally, Abramson Residence, Abramson Senior Care’s long-term care facility, was ranked number seven on Newsweek’s list of “Best Nursing Homes in Pennsylvania 2020.”
Newsweek looked at recommendations from medical experts gathered through a nursing home reputation survey, and data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services including health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. Initially 183 nursing homes met the eligibility requirements, and 39 ultimately received a “Best” designation. With over 700 nursing homes in Pennsylvania, this list puts the Abramson Residence in the top 1%.
