Brooke Ciavardelli, medical technician, received the sixth annual Leah Berman Award for excellence in care and service to the residents of the Abramson Center’s Mildred Shor Inn, Abramson’s personal care and independent living community, on Friday, February 23rd.
Jordan and Deanna Berman established the award to honor the memory of Mr. Berman’s mother, Leah, and recognize the compassionate and respectful care she received as a five-year resident of the Inn. It is presented each year in February, Mrs. Berman’s birthday month.
Brooke was nominated by residents of the Inn who praised her helpfulness, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond to provide care.
Additionally, the Bermans sponsored a staff appreciation luncheon with a presentation from Christopher Ridenhour, a motivational speaker in the long-term care industry, for all employees of the Inn on Friday, March 16th.
