The Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life held its 26th annual Rainbow Ball on Saturday, October 22nd at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. Over 375 guests gathered to congratulate Ande and Jim Adelman as they received the Family Award, the Abramson Center’s highest honor, in recognition of their extraordinary dedication to improving the quality of life of older adults. Ande is the Abramson Center’s senior development advisor, having first served as the organization’s vice president of development. She has been actively involved in the Philadelphia Jewish Community for over 40 years, including with Women’s American ORT and Women of Vision of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. Additionally, Mrs. Adelman served as the Jewish Federation’s chairman of the board. Mr. Adelman is president and chief litigator at Morris & Adelman PC, a successful commercial law firm in Philadelphia.
The gala and its Family Album ad book grossed over $820,000 to support the Abramson Center’s core mission of providing care for older adults who do not have the financial means to pay for their own care.
