COVID Crisis Campaign

IMG_0010resized.jpgAs we walk through the dark days of the COVID crisis, our mission has heightened meaning, and an unprecedented urgency.

As a nonprofit senior health care organization on the front lines of the pandemic, we are answering the call to be of service - not only to those already in our care but to our entire community.

And we are doing this without the resources of a large hospital system.

As a result, we are faced with staggering costs - now nearing $2 million due to the need for extra PPE, staff overtime and modifications to our normal care delivery. We are also weathering lost revenue of $1.8 million due to a reduction in services affected by social distancing requirements.

Our request to you . . .

In lieu of supporting our events this year, we are asking that you please consider a special gift to Abramson Senior Care's COVID Crisis Campaign. We are grateful for your generosity during this time.

Why Abramson Senior Care takes donations

For 150 years, the Abramson Center has served as a trusted, high quality provider of senior services that provides compassionate and person-centered care to hundreds of thousands of people, either in one of our facilities or in their own homes. Your support provides a safety net for those with little or no financial means and who must depend on Medical Assistance to subsist. These seniors may need long-term nursing care and live in the Abramson Residence or may be a participant of the Abramson Medical Adult Day Services program, receiving nursing and social services in a stimulating and safe environment. Unfortunately, just 70 percent of the cost of care for the Residence is covered by Medical Assistance, which creates a substantial funding gap. Your financial support helps us bridge this gap and allows us to enhance and improve the lives of seniors who need us.
