Abramson Center Disaster and Emergency Preparedness

Here at the Abramson Center for Jewish Life, we take disaster readiness seriously. Our safety team proactively and routinely works to prepare for emergencies of all types. From fires to severe weather to power or water outages, the Abramson Center has prepared an emergency readiness course of action that will minimize the impact on our residents and clients.

Emergency Preparations include:

  • Disaster plan checklists
  • Redundant systems
  • Emergency communication preparations
  • On-site generator for emergency power
  • Disaster planning program along with regular drills
  • Cooperative initiatives (mutual aid agreements) with other hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community services

The Abramson Center has taken a leadership role in disaster preparedness among long-term care communities in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area.
